Performance
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered with two of the same powertrains that are available in the 2021 version, and it also adds the 4xe powertrain to the mix. The two carryover powertrains are a 293-horsepower, 3.6-liter, V6 engine and a 357-horsepower, 5.7-liter, V8 system. The new 4xe system is a plug-in hybrid engine that connects an electric motor to a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. This system produces 375 net horsepower. Select trims for both models have all-terrain tires, an electric slip differential, a two-speed transfer case, four-wheel drive, an adaptive air suspension, and other premium mechanical equipment.
Appearance
The exterior design of the Grand Cherokee has been completely redesigned for the 2022 model year. The design continues to have boxed-off wheel wells and a box-themed grille. The nose has been squared off. The hood and sides are smooth except for the hint of definition. On the nose, you will find a rectangular theme that spans the lower fascia, a square theme across the grille, and connected, rectangular headlights. Both model years are available with roof rails, foglights, tow hooks, and skid plates.
Features
The interior features are almost identical in these two model years on a trim-by-trim basis. Both model years are offered with leather material, wireless smart device connectivity, a navigation system, a great selection of safety technologies, a navigation system, heated front and rear seats, a multi-zone climate management system, a premium sound system, a power liftgate, remote engine start, a sunroof, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a digital rear mirror, a rear entertainment system, and other exciting features.
