Serving Merrillville, IN
The 2020 Jeep Cherokee does not get any significant changes. It is part of the second Cherokee generation that launched in 2014. The 2020 Cherokee is available in several trim levels to give consumers a personalized edition of their favorite off-road SUV. Although there aren’t many updates to note in 2020, the Cherokee got a fresh new look and some notable updates in 2019. A new exterior look graces the outside of the 2019 Cherokee, making the classic SUV more aesthetically appealing and luxurious than before. A new turbocharged engine joins the powertrain lineup in 2019, and a new, more sophisticated infotainment system comes standard. As with the 2020 version, there are multiple trim levels available in the 2019 model year to suit consumers’ diverse range of tastes. In both model years, you can choose from an assortment of engines to get optimal power and performance. An impact-absorbing suspension system on both models makes riding over even the most robust surfaces a breeze. A more extensive 8.4-inch infotainment system is available with most trims.
Performance
Both models of the Jeep Cherokee have three engines. The base engine is a 2.4L with variable valve timing. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Two engines are available. One is a 3.2L V6 that features start-stop technology. This engine gives the Cherokee a class-leading towing capacity of 4,500 pounds. The top engine is a 2.0L turbo that generates 270 HP and 295 LB-FT of torque. This engine is also connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Both editions of the Jeep Cherokee have three available four-wheel-drive systems to provide precise power and control on demand.
Appearance
Both model years give you the option of multiple wheel sizes and styles for a look that’s just you. Notable accents like rounded headlights, a signature Jeep grille, high fenders, and a shark fin antenna give the Cherokee a unique look that’s equally adventurous and urban. Fog lights, ultra-bright headlights, and trim-specific badges are some notable amenities that distinguish your Cherokee by trim. Available features include a hands-free tailgate and a windshield wiper de-icer.
Features
Both Cherokees also have nearly identical cabins. Dual-zone climate control allows the driver and front passenger to customize their temperatures. Based on the trim you choose, you can get leather seats, a sunroof, and high-end interior accents. Heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel are available.
