In 2023, Dodge introduces an all-new subcompact crossover to its lineup. The 2023 Dodge Hornet is the smallest crossover currently available by Dodge, and it will impress you with its prime features and capabilities. Initially, the Hornet is available only in the GT trim level. This trim draws 268 horsepower from a Hurricane4, four-cylinder, turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. It has an auto transmission with an all-wheel drive drivetrain, and it can achieve a cruising speed of 60 miles per hour in only 6.5 seconds. An R/T trim level will be available later in the year. Its plug-in hybrid, four-cylinder, turbo 1.3-liter engine will generate 288 net horsepower. This all-wheel drive system is connected to a six-speed auto transmission.
The well-designed cabin can seat five passengers while offering ample cargo space in the back. A 12.3-inch digital driver’s gauge panel and a 10.5-inch touch display in the center stack dress up the dashboard. The Hornet’s features include a power liftgate, keyless entry, a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 14 speakers, a push-button ignition, UConnect5, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The crossover’s safety tech includes a blind-spot monitor, auto emergency braking, lane center assist, lane departure alert, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention warning, forward collision mitigation, and traffic sign recognition.
