What’s New for the 2017 Ram ProMaster?

The 2017 Ram ProMaster is a commercial van that focuses on hauling large loads of cargo. Three trim levels offer multiple body-styles that give the driver an option in space configuration. Front-wheel drive helps to make the ProMaster’s
floor as low as possible while the standard V6 engine offers up 280 horsepower. With a potential 463 cubic feet of cargo space when fully equipped, the Ram ProMaster is the ideal van for transporting large loads.

The standard engine option on the Ram ProMaster is the 3.6-liter V6 engine which generates 280 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. For other options, there is an available 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine which generate
174 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive system come standard with both engines. Featuring an impressive ability to haul and transport cargo, the ProMaster sports a payload of 5160 pound when properly equipped and 5,100 pounds of towing capability.

With hauling cargo front and center in its mind, the Ram ProMaster was designed to this job as well as possible. Three different trim levels give the ProMaster additional tools and features to make the experience comfortable and intuitive.
In addition to these features there is a variety of body-style options at each trim level to help maximize its potential by creating more space in different parts of the vehicle. At the 1500 trim level, the Promaster can get a wheelbase of either 118 or 136 inches and two roof options, high or low. The high roof comes standard on all 2500 models but the wheelbase can be either 136 inches or 159 inches in length. The top-tier trim level is the 3500 which comes standard with both the 159 inch wheelbase and the high roof but has a choice in body length. The standard option is 236 inches, while the extra-long body configuration is an impressive 250 inches. All of these options give the Ram ProMaster a wide range of possible cabin capacities. The lower end of the spectrum is 259 cubic feet while at the largest sports 463 cubic feet. There are also multiple appearance packages which offer additional options to add even more features to the vehicle like a chrome grille and fog lights on the Premium Appearance package or cargo nets and sidewall tie-down rings on the cargo convenience group. The ProMaster is easy to load with its passenger-side sliding doors. Other standard features include keyless entry, air-conditioning, and bucket seats. A Uconnect 5-inch touchscreen interface is available along with GPS navigation, upgraded audio, and internet connectivity.
